When you sell to another ITEX member, ITEX dollars are deposited into your company's ITEX account, just like a bank. Then you spend your ITEX dollars on products or services from other ITEX member businesses. You aren’t limited to just trading with that business! You have an ever growing network to use your ITEX dollars with. Things like restaurants, travel, auto repair, business products, printing, computer repairs and advertising! Even things like jewelry, HVAC service, plumbers, spas, dentists, chiropractors, tutoring, lawn care, home repair, and much more!

How it works when you are looking for a good or service within the ITEX network

How it works 1
  • 1 Look for the product or service you seek in the ITEX directory.

Reach out to our fast responding trade directors via phone or email and let them know what you are looking for.
Or
Go to the ITEX website or mobile app to search for the product or service you seek in the ITEX directory.

  • 1 Trade Directors will let you know the contact details.

The trade directors will let you know who within the network provides the goods or services you seek and will get you their contact details.

Or

The website or mobile app will give you results for your search so you can have a list with company details as well as contact information, enabling you to reach out right then and there.

How It works 2
  • If no results were found for what you were looking for, either by your own search on the website or app, or if the trade directors didn’t come up with any results, dont give up hope just yet.
  • If you have a business or businesses in mind that you know provide the good or service you are looking for, let your ITEX broker know. They will be happy to reach out to those businesses on your behalf. They can communicate with them to ask them to join the ITEX network. This is usually very successful when the broker has someone ready to purchase that businesses, goods or services.

When your search does net some results, move on to step 3.

  • 1 Reach out to the best fit for supplying you your current need.

Reach out to the business or businesses that were found, and see which one is the best fit for supplying your current need. Most times, your barter trade directors or your area broker will do email introductions to make things even easier.

  • 1 Agree to do business with the business you’ve chosen.

  • 1 Complete the transaction.

You can do this a few different ways.

The simplest and easiest way to transfer ITEX dollars to another business is directly through the ITEX mobile app.

You can also go directly to the ITEX website to complete the transaction digitally.

Lastly, you can reach out to your trade directors or broker to help facilitate the ITEX dollar transfer.

  • 1 You now have a good or service. Transaction Complete!

You've successfully traded within the ITEX barter network and saved cash. You were also able to leverage your own goods and services to trade in ITEX dollars.

Now your trade partner isn’t stuck having to do direct trade exclusively with you; they can use the trade dollars you sent them with any one of the over 20,000 trade partners in the nationwide ITEX barter network.
